Crossplay Helper's Sweep of the Day

One of the more significant influences for the NYT Crossplay game is the classic Scrabble board game. In Scrabble, using all 7 tiles from your rack in one play awards an extra 50 points for the word. Similarly, in Crossplay, creating a word with all of your letters, called a Sweep, awards 40 bonus points.

Here on Crossplay Helper, we've selected some of the best Sweep words to play in the game, highlighting one each day. These are high-scoring 8-letter words, so you can use all your rack tiles and easily connect them with another word on the board.

Although you can also score the bonus points with a 7-letter word by strategically placing it on the board. This can be done by either creating a 2-letter word or extending another one. Below is a screenshot of the tutorial in Crossplay where the word ET is created to connect TAILORS for a Sweep.

One of the best ways to secure a win in Crossplay is by combining a Sweep word with a 2W or 3W space. The points can add up so high, you could gain more than a 100-point lead!
